*Six Villancicos.* These songs, written between 1505 and 1520 are from a collection in the library of the Palacio Real in Madrid. the greatest collection of Spanish secular music, with many songs that have become classics. These little pieces are very varied, with a couple of outrageously sardonic numbers. Several pieces in the source, including Pensad ora en al are, in the unusual quintuple metre.
