Take part in Australia’s Greatest Recorder Competitions
The Orpheus Music Performance Competitions aim to create opportunities for up-and-coming recorder performers and ensembles. The aim of the competition is to provide an opportunity for participants to:
- Improve their playing ability by preparing a selection of music to performance standard, as a soloist or in an ensemble.
- Enhance their appreciation of the musical potential of the recorder.
- Receive a written evaluation of their performance in the competition finals from a jury comprising international and Australian recorder professionals.
- Receive prize money for winning performances and perform in the Highlights Concert.
Orpheus Music has been running world-class recorder events for over 25 years. From workshops and technique classes to major festivals, we create platforms for recorder competitions where musicians grow, compositions get discovered, and the recorder community strengthens.
