AMEB- Music Craft - The theory behind musical success.  Newly Developed Music Theory Course by the AMEB.

How to use Music Craft

The Teacher's Guide and Student Workbook are interdependent sets of materials. The publications are predicated on the understanding that:

  • Students generally learn theory from an instrumental teacher as part of an instrumental lesson, usually for a small period of time at the end of the lesson.
  • The time devoted to theory/musicianship in the lesson is around twenty minutes a week
  • Teachers usually follow the school year for their own one to one instrumental teaching.

These premises dictated the structure of the support publications for Music Craft. These publications feature:

  • Lessons that are focused and short.
  • Extensive drilling and repetition across lessons. Structured learning built around a teaching year of about forty weeks.
  • Support for teachers as they work through the new syllabus, helping them to guide their students towards achieving success in their exams.

Book/Teacher's Guide:  101 pages.
