Echo from the East

*Tenor Solo* comes with key to musical symbols, about composer section and text about the composition. This solo recommends to be performed with an artificial delay of 4-6 seconds.

The virtuoso melody with the rhythmic ornamentation is based on a special Eastern sounding “Maqam” and a request from my colleague and friend, the Norwegian recorder player Jostein Gundersen. 

These are the aspects of the "ECHO", born in autumn 2008. To the 5 “P” of contemporary musical live (performance, patos, product forms, presentation and PR in the first place) belongs to this piece that more and more disappears “sixth sense of music” and the 6th “P”: “ that plays for itself ”. Passion and joy, accompanying only by your virtuosity and your own echo: these are the right ingredients of this Eastern coloured solo piece. Of course all notes and dynamics should be reproduced as close to the precisely as possible, but ... you already knew that before buying this piece ... :-).

So here are two other very important messages: Absolutely respect the lengths of the fermata "s and" play "and" live "them with the same focus and intensity as you do with all the difficult passages in between. Finally, when practicing, you should use “Echo” sound as a simple preludio quasi “Aereo” and “Gusto”. Finely, stay in this piece (and hopefully with all other pieces too) a passionate "minstrel" (more than too serious a concert singer) and challenge your musical heart! Have fun and enjoy the "echo" on stage and in your (student) room, as well!
