Everyday Recorder, Recorder Everyday! by Michael Chandler is an approach that progresses note-by-note, incorporating the soprano recorder into the general music class instruction. The focus is on rote learning, playing by ear, and improvisation leading to notation and composition. There are ten lessons in the book. Each lesson includes stopping points that allow teachers time to include other music making activities during class. There are Day One, Day Two and Day Three teaching steps as well as opportunities to extend the learning.

CD included: The accompanying CD-ROM contains interactive visuals for each lesson in three formats: Smart Notebook, Promethean ActiveInspire, and Microsoft PowerPoint. The files in Smart Notebook and ActivInspire are intended for use with their corresponding interactive whiteboards. However, they may also be projected onto any screen or whiteboard. The interactive portions of each lesson would then be manipulated from the teacher's computer.
