*Two Settings of the Classic Plainsong _Ave maris stella_.* Jean Titelouze was born in St. Omer (now a part of France) in 1562. He was the first French composer to publish collections of organ works. He is rigorously contrapuntal in his approach, writing always in three or four clearly defined parts. His music is quite suitable for performance on four melody instruments.
