"Two Eastern European Dances. These two dances, one from Bulgaria and one from Ukraine were arranged for my adult recorder group the Aeolian Players. The both have lively and attractive melodies and Kopanitsa has a fun asymmetrical 11/8 metre. One of my aims is always to ensure that all players have interesting parts and the main melody is shared between all of them. Varying the texture in this way means that repetitions of the melody contnue to be fresh and engaging."- Ben Thorn
