'Butterfly' is written for a recorder trio made up of Treble, Tenor and Bass.

“This details the butterfly’s life cycle. It begins as a Caterpillar on the Leaves, moving back and forth, wriggling along the branches and sampling the vegetation. As autumn comes on, we find it Asleep in the Cocoon, preparing for the new life ahead. Spring arrives, and with it the Emergence of the Butterfly, which spreads its wings and flies away. You may observe here that the beaming of the notes does not always correspond to the bar lines.” Lance Eccles Dec 2024

It is comprised of three parts which follow the life cycle of a Butterfly:

1. Caterpillar on the Leaves

2. Asleep in the Cocoon

3. Emergence of the Butterfly

Score: 7 pages. 3 parts @3 pages ea.
