Composer David Dubery was born in 1948 in Durban, South Africa, where he studied piano from the age of five. He was accepted as a junior student at the Northern School of Music and along the way won many awards. He has enjoyed a career as pianist, accompanist, composer, vocal coach and teacher of both piano and voice. 

Mrs Harris in Paris was first performed by John Turner and the composer at the Prestwich Music Club on 4th November 2003.
