Concerto No 3 in C Major

Robert Woodcock was born in the late 17th century and died in 1734. He was an English recorder player and composer. Nothing more is known about his life. The Concerto in this edition, No 3, was originally in D major. to suit the present day Descant (or Soprano) recorder in C, it was transposed a whole tone down. In this way, the original recorder fingering could be retained. *Grete Zahn*
